Metering and Analysis

Good mastering is always done best with good metering and analysis tools. Here at the wizard we have a separate PC dedicated to metering that gives full analysis and exacting clarity in tracking, mixing and mastering.

Pictured here is the Pinguin 4.5 professional metering suite created by Dr. Ralph Kessler of Wizooverb fame.

Four of the tools are pictured here. The 10-band per octave analyzer, the phase correlation meter, the stereo imaging analysis tool and the peak and average loudness tool.

Wavelab tools

Wavelab 6 comes with its own set of tools. Some are pictured here and are nearly the same as pictured in the Pinguin shot above.

On the top is the peak and average loudness meter, which is so important for today's mastered sound. Next is the stereo distribution meter, and channel balance indicator. On the bottom is the spectrum analyzer. In the center is the bit depth indicator, and on the right is the stereo field dispersion goneometer.
